Tap, tap, tap

Years ago Aunt Fern flew to Alaska with Jennie and Joe Elacqua to spend a few weeks with me.  I don't think Aunt Fern had ever flown before, so maybe she was a little nervous, BUT, probably just being Aunt Fern.  It is a long flight from Minneapolis to Anchorage and a few hours into the flight, the man sitting in front of her turned around and loudly and sharply said "WILL YOU STOP NOW"?  She had been tapping constantly on the seat back.  Joe tells the story better than I do cause he was there.

One of the dinners I cooked while she was there, she liked so well she went to the fridge and had left overs for breakfast.

Until a few years ago, Aunt Fern was the family historian.  She knew everything about everyone, good and not so good.  I always enjoyed talking with her.  I feel a little sad that I never wrote down some of the information she gave me.
