Fern C.  Luckenbill (Yoder)
Fern C. Luckenbill, 94, formerly of Shartlesville and Mohrsville, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016 in the Berks Heim where she resided since May 1, 2009. She was the widow of Clarence Luckenbill, who died in 1994; and her first husband, Herbert Keller, who died in 1963.
Born in Centre Twp., she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mae (Kiefer-Weber) Yoder. She worked for the Crown Knitting Mills, Mohrsville, retiring in 1966. Fern was a member of Mohrsville Church of the Brethren.
Fern is survived by one daughter: Gladys (Keller), wife of Harvey Bashore; Lancaster; one son: Paul Keller, and his wife Liz, Womelsdorf; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a step-daughter: Judy Dickeson; step-son: Phil Luckenbill and wife Coreen; a step-daughter-in-law: Eileen Luckenbill; six step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; and one brother: Benjamin Yoder, and his wife Verna, Hamburg. Fern also leaves an extended family and friends. She was predeceased by a son: Daniel Keller, who died in 1965; one brother: Jackson Yoder; step-son: Barry Luckenbill; and a daughter-in-law: Julie Keller.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am from Mohrsville Church of the Brethren, 1542 Shoey Road, Mohrsville, PA 19541. Burial will follow in Viewpoint Cemetery, Centre Twp. A viewing will be held in the church Wednesday 9:30 to 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Mohrsville Church of the Brethren, at the above address.
