Gerald R.  Clay
Gerald R. Clay, of Old Forge, Lackawanna County, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2015 in the VNA Hospice of Lackawanna County in Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton.
Born in Reading, he was the son of Marlene A. (Witters), widow of George D. Kline, Kutztown; and the late Gerald R. Clay. Gerald graduated from Hamburg Area High School and was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked as a union carpenter. Gerald enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving in addition to his mother are two sons: Bradley T. Clay, Jonestown; and Sgt. Cory A. Clay, Camp Pendleton, CA; and two brothers: Jeffrey A. Clay, Lebanon; and Barry L. Clay, Shoemakersville.
Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg. Burial will be private in Richland Cemetery. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Wednesday 7:00 to 9:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to VNA Hospice, 301 Delaware Avenue, Olyphant, PA 18447.
