Obituary for Sheron W. "Ockey" Greenawalt

Sheron W. Greenawalt, "Ockey", 81, of Ontelaunee Twp., passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017 in his residence.
Born in Alburtis, he was the son of the late Solon G. and Helen J. (Oels) Greenawalt. Sheron was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran of the Korean War. He worked for forty-five years for Wolfe Dye and Bleach until retiring in January 2017. Ockey was a member of Ray Master Post #217 American Legion, Topton. He enjoyed trap shooting, fishing and hunting.
Ockey is survived by one daughter: Pamela J. (Greenawalt), wife of Bernard Korch, Jr., Ontelaunee Twp.; and three sons: Kevin L. Greenawalt, Kutztown; Robin S. Greenawalt, Mertztown; and Scott E. Warmkessel, husband of Marcia (Strzelecki) Warmkessel, Kutztown; ten grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother: Randy Greenawalt, Pennsburg; and one sister: Shirley (Greenawalt) Moll, Macungie. Ockey was predeceased by two sons: Gregory L. Greenawalt and Kyle S. Greenawalt; two brothers: Russell and Clifford Greenawalt; and one sister: Elona (Greenawalt) Kauffman.
