Obituary for Margaret M. Yoder (Becker)

Margaret M. Yoder, 90, of Hamburg, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017 in her residence. She was the wife of Ralph S. Yoder, who died November 25, 2007.
Born in Hamburg, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Ethel (Casper) Becker. She worked for Hamburg Knitting Mill and Wright's Knitwear until retiring in 1988. Margaret was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Reading. She was a former librarian of the Kutztown ward of Latter-day Saints. Margaret was also a former member of the Order of Eastern Star and the ladies auxiliary of the Hamburg Fire Company. She enjoyed traveling and making ceramics with her sisters.
Margaret is survived by one son: Brian R. Yoder, and his wife Barbara, Hamburg; three grandchildren: Aaron, Alex and Angie; two step-grandchildren: Chuck and Lisa; and eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters: Anna Bledsoe, in Florida; Barbara Schappell, Shoemakersville; Joan Turner, Hamburg; and Sharon Hansen, Centerport. Margaret was predeceased by a step-granddaughter: Teresa; and one sister: Ethel Symanowicz.
Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Wednesday 7:00 to 8:30 pm and Thursday 10:00 to 11:00 am. For online condolences, please visit, www.leibenspergerfuneralhomes.com.
