Obituary for Clarence G. Klinger

Clarence G. Klinger, 91, of Windsor Twp., died Tuesday, February 14, 2017 in Kutztown Manor. He was the husband of Sandra L. (Deisher) Klinger. They were married December 18, 1965 and celebrated 51 years of marriage.
Born in Pine Grove, he was the son of the late Paul and Annie E. (Reinhart) Klinger. Clarence was a graduate of Auburn High School. He was US Army Air Force veteran of World War II. At the age of 16, Clarence obtained his barber license. Throughout his life, he was a barber, built the Dutch Motel, worked for Prudential Insurance and became a real estate broker. Clarence was a real estate developer in Hamburg and was a partner with Ray Yerger in real estate investments and Laundromats. He served on the board of Hamilton Bank and Corestates Bank. Clarence was a member of Vaux Lodge No. 406 F&AM, Hamburg, and Rajah Shrine. He was an avid golfer.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Bruce Klinger, and his wife Patricia, Atlanta, GA, Brian Klinger, and his wife Ming Zu, Mays Landing, NJ; three grandchildren: Kara Klinger Cheever wife of Matt, Keenan M. Klinger husband of Glacy, and Kory B. Klinger; and two great-grandchildren: Anna and Alex Cheever. Clarence is also survived by his sister: Anna E. (Klinger) Adam, Windsor Twp., and sister-in-law: Alma A. (Phillips) Klinger, Windsor Twp. He was predeceased by two brothers: Guy G. Klinger, and Eugene G. Klinger; and sister-in-law: Kathleen (Illig) Klinger.
Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street Hamburg (Off Street Parking in Rear). Burial will follow in Schuylkill Memorial Park. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 am in the funeral home. A Vaux Masonic Lodge Service will be held at 11:00 am prior to the funeral service.
