Obituary for Shirley J. Wesner (Ulrich)

Shirley J. Wesner, 77, of Centre Twp., passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Upper Tulpehocken Twp. She was the wife of Raymond A. Wesner, who died February 22, 1992.
Born in Kleinfeltersville, Lebanon Co., she was the daughter of the late Ralph Ulrich and Sarah E. (Smith) Ulrich. Shirley was a 1957 graduate of Lansdowne Alden High School. She worked for Valley Forge Flag Company, Womelsdorf, until her retirement. Shirley was a member of Salem (Belleman's) Church, Centre Twp. She was secretary of Blue Marsh Traveler's Club for ten years. Shirley liked to make cards, play bingo and go to Seniors.
Shirley is survived by two sons: Jeffrey L. Wesner, husband of Christine, Fayetteville, North Carolina; and Jonathan L. Wesner, husband of Lisa, Reinholds, Lancaster Co.; two daughters: Deborah L. (Wesner), wife of Michael Snipes, Fayetteville; and Tammy L. (Wesner), wife of Randy Smith, Sr., Centre Twp.; eight grandchildren: Amy, Julie, John, David, Trish, Randy, Jr., Mandy and Barbara; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers: Larry Ulrich, Jackson, New Jersey; and James Ulrich, in Florida; and two sisters: Faye L. (Ulrich) Eckert, Lansdale; and Pat (Ulrich) Franklin, Centre Twp. Shirley was predeceased by a daughter: Tina L. (Wesner) Wike and her husband Rick Wike; three grandchildren: Jeffrey Wesner, Jr., Tanya Donmoyer and Missy Wesner; and step-father: Warren R. Balthaser.
Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens.
