Obituary for Louise M. Foust (Foust)

Louise M. Foust, 96, of Hamburg, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016 in Cornerstone Living, New Tripoli. She was the wife of Herbert M. Foust, who died on January 16, 1981.
Born in Hamburg, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Sarah M. (Schlear) Yocom. She was a 1937 graduate of Hamburg High School. Louise was a U.S. Women's Army Corp veteran of World War II. She held various occupations throughout her life. Louise was a member of First United Church of Christ, Hamburg. She was an active member of the Clementine Rebekah Lodge, Hamburg; and Lady Colfax Rebekah Lodge #182, Leesport for seventy-eight years Louise served as Past Noble Grand of the Clementine Lodge, as well as holding other offices; and was the Color Bearer for the Rebekah Assembly of Pennsylvania. She was a member of the Hamburg Senior Citizens and a past president of the Business and Professional Women (BPW) of Hamburg. Louise was an avid knitter, loved angels and enjoyed making and sharing her candy.
Louise is survived by one son: Paul M. Foust, Hamburg; one daughter: Norma J. (Foust), wife of Dennis L. Riegel, Fleetwood; eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings: John Yocom and Amy (Yocom) Megrail.
Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg. Please use the rear entrance to the funeral home due to the construction on South 4th Street. A Lady Colfax Rebekah Lodge service will be held during the funeral service. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg. A visitation with the family will be held in the funeral home Friday 10:00 to 11:00 am.
