Obituary for James M. Perlaki

James M. Perlaki, 61, of Hamburg, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2016. He was the husband of Kelly T. (Marquis) Perlaki, who died February 13, 2015.
Born in Newmanstown, he was the son of June (Gundrum) Perlaki, in Michigan; and the late William Perlaki. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. James worked as a diesel mechanic for Cougle's Recycling, Inc., Hamburg. He enjoyed reading Stephen King books.
Surviving in addition to his mother are three sons: Jason M. Perlaki and his partner, Heidi, New Ringgold; Joseph R. Perlaki, Philadelphia; and Thomas J. Perlaki, Hamburg; and two daughters: Amanda M. Perlaki, Laredo, Texas; and Ashley M. Perlaki, Hamburg. James was expecting his first grandchild. He is also survived by two sisters: Mary Trewyn and Beth Minder; and two brothers: William and Martin Perlaki. He was predeceased by a sister: Bonnie Gabler.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg, PA 19526.. A visitation with the family will be held in the funeral home on Saturday 1:00 to 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to establish a scholarship fund for daughter Ashley.
