Obituary for Richard A. Bailey

Richard A. Bailey, 77, of Richmond Twp., passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016 in the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Shirley A. (Fidler) Bailey. They were married on June 20, 1959 and celebrated fifty-six years of marriage.
Born in Richmond Twp., he was the son of the late Issac and Mary (Stein) Bailey. He was a farmer on the family farm and also worked as a truck driver. Richard was a member of Daniel Boone Coin Club and Kutztown Fire Company. He enjoyed collecting antique cars, such as a Model A and a Thunderbird.
Surviving in addition to his wife is one son: Randy A. Bailey; and one daughter: Stacey A. (Bailey), widow of John M. Young, both of Richmond Twp.; and two grandchildren: Kayla and Issac.
Services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Becker's St. Peter's Cemetery, Richmond Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Thursday 9:00 to 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Avenue, Reading, PA 19605 or Becker's St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 265 Maidencreek Road, Fleetwood, PA 19522.
