Obituary for Wayne S. Gordon

Wayne S. Gordon, 56, of Centre Twp., died Friday, February 5, 2016 in Penn State Hersey St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Twp. He was the husband of Susan K. (Kline) Gordon, they were married May 15, 1993 and celebrated 22 years of marriage.

Born in West Reading, he was the son of Marian E. (Davis) Gordon, Centre Twp., and the late Robert L. Gordon who died November 28, 2004. He was a 1977 graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School. He worked as a mason/bricklayer at SFS Intec for 4 years. Wayne enjoyed volunteering with the former Berks Enduring Freedom in Temple, enjoyed gardening, often donating most of his produce to the Greater Reading Food Bank, loved watching modified stock car racing, football, and enjoyed fishing. Wayne went through a lot tough times in his life, and absolutely never complained once, he was a very caring man who would give of himself to others before thinking about himself.

Surviving in addition to his mother and wife is a son: Jeremy W. Gordon; a granddaughter: Olivia Gordon; two brothers: Dan R. husband of Donna M. (Werner) Gordon, Mohrsville, Fred S. husband of Karie (Intribus) Gordon, Mohrsville; a sister: Linda A. (Gordon) wife of Tino F. Imbesi, Mohrsville; and several nieces and nephews.
