Obituary for Hildegarde O. James (Wise)

Hildegarde O. James, 95, of Ontelaunee Twp., passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 in Hearthstone at Maidencreek. She was the wife of Floyd Allen James, who died August 8, 2012. She was also predeceased by her first husband, Earl Strause, who died in April 1947.
Born in Leesport, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Edna Gertrude (Smith) Wise. Hildegarde was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Leesport.
She is survived by two daughters: Gail O. (Strause), wife of Charles Schwab, Laureldale; and Linda A. (James), wife of Joseph Poole, Temple; two granddaughters: Tracey Schrum and Jacquelyn Robinson; three great-grandchildren: Jennifer and Alyssa Schrum; and Kody Frank; and one sister: Delores (Wise) Willig, Hamburg. Hildegarde was predeceased by a daughter: Geraldine A. (Strause) Holl, who died in 1976.
Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. There will not be a viewing. Burial will be in Leesport Cemetery. For online condolences, please visit, www.leibenspergerfuneralhomes.com.
