Obituary for Florence V. Deysher (Kulp)

Florence V. Deysher, 89, of Upper Bern Twp., passed away in her residence on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. She was the wife of Vernon A. "Duke" Deysher. They were married on June 19, 1949 and celebrated sixty-six years of marriage.
Born in Birdsboro, she was the daughter of the late Vernon L. and Ellen A. (Shirey) Kulp. Florence was a graduate of Birdsboro High School. She was a staff member of U.S. Representative Gus Yatron at his office in Reading and Pottsville. Florence also worked for the Federal Department of Transportation in Philadelphia.
Florence was a former Exeter Township Supervisor. She was also a Big Band Era singer.
Surviving in addition to her husband is one son: Dennis V. Deysher, Shartlesville; two daughters: Vicki S. Deysher, Shartlesville; and Lori A. (Deysher), wife of Theron D. Ninzeheltzer, Gibraltar; and two grandchildren: Lynee E. Reedy and Thatcher D. Ninzeheltzer. Florence is also survived by one brother: Vernon L. Kulp, Jr., Birdsboro. She was predeceased by three sisters: Melba A. (Kulp) Hahn; Laraine C. (Kulp) Walley; and Marcella LaRu (Kulp) Clouser.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday 9:30 to 11:00 am. Burial will be private in Forest Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Alzheimer's Association, 237 Court Street, Reading, PA 19601.
