Emily M.  Cramer (Eddinger)
Emily M. Cramer passed away on October 7 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where she was a patient since September 30. She was the wife of Wilson F. Cramer, whom she married on December 3, 1950.
Born in Leesport on April 13, 1920, she was the daughter of John Eddinger and Estella (Henne) Eddinger. She was predeceased by her brothers, Samuel, Charles, and Harold Eddinger. In addition to her son, Don, she is survived by her sisters and brothers-in law, Lorena Eddinger, Rocco and Virginia Santilli, Richard and Melva Wise. Also surviving are nephews and nieces, Terry Eddinger and his wife Nelda, Roxanne Wise, Sandra Turczynski, and Samuel Cramer and his wife Connie.
Emily was a 1938 graduate of Ontelaunee Vocational School and worked in several jobs including Talbott Knitwear, Fleetwood School District food services, and Diener Knitting Mill.
She was a long-time member of Maidencreek Church, where she enjoyed worshipping faithfully until she was unable due to her health. She served on the altar guild and in her earlier years as a Sunday School teacher.
Emily was a charter member of the Blandon Lioness Club and Blandon Senior Citizens. When she was able, she loved to visit family, friends and neighbors, and later, their visits to her home. Most recently she enjoyed short drives with Wilson, Don, and his significant other: Judy Keller. She liked to cook and bake for her family while her health permitted.
Services will be held Monday, October 12, 2015 at 11:30 A.M. from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport, PA 19533. Burial will follow in Maidencreek Cemetery, Blandon. Family and friends will be received from 9:30 to 11:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Emily’s memory may be made to Maidencreek Church, 261 Main Street, Blandon, PA 19510.
