Obituary for Richard H. Kring

Richard H.  Kring
Richard H. Kring, 84, of Mohrsville, died Sunday, September 13, 2015 in his residence. He was the husband of Ardell M. (Sweigart) Kring, they were married June 21, 1952 and celebrated 63 years of marriage.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Edwin E. and Helen H. (Reidnauer) Kring. He graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 1949. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean War. He attended Mohrsville Church of the Brethren. He worked as a Cold Mill Operator at the former NGK Metals, Muhlenberg Twp, retiring in 1993. Richard was a fan of NASCAR, The Phillies, and The Eagles. He enjoyed word search, and playing cards.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Steve R. husband of Carol J. (Stump) Kring, Mohnton; and Stewart “Butch” R. Kring, Laureldale; two daughters: Sheryl R. (Kring) wife of Wm. John Lattanze, Hyde Park; and Delores J. (Kring) Haddock, Wyomissing. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Allison, Erica, Brandon, Kristin, and Brittiny; 4 great-grandchildren; and a sister: Dawn L. (Kring) Hojnowski, Reading. Richard was predeceased by a son: Scott R. Kring, died April 15, 1972.
Services will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. from Mohrsville Church of the Brethren, 1542 Shoey Rd., Mohrsville, PA 19541. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport, PA 19533. A procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 to go to the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., at the above address to help defray funeral expenses.
