Russell L. Riegel, Sr., 62, of Tilden Twp., passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015 in St. Joseph Medical Center. He was the husband of Robin L. (Yerger) Riegel. They were married on January 18, 1975 and celebrated forty years of marriage.
Born in Hamburg, he was the son of the late Dolores M. (Riegel) Yoder; and step-son of the late Paul A. Yoder. He was a 1971 graduate of Hamburg Area High School. Russell worked as a welder for Reading Body Works. He was a member of Shartlesville Rod and Gun Club. Russell enjoyed hunting, his fruit trees and NASCAR. He especially loved his Dobermans.
Surviving in addition to his wife is one son: Russell L. Riegel, Jr., and his wife Kristy (Merkel) Riegel, Auburn; two grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Joshua; two sisters: Kathy B. Riegel, wife of Erich Groot, Hamburg; and Stacey A. (Riegel) Yoder, wife of Scott Yoder, Hamburg; one brother: Alex P. Yoder, Tilden Twp.; and his father and mother-in-law: Richard and Shirley (Deibert) Yerger, Auburn.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Twp.
