Obituary for Frederick V. Fronefield

Frederick V. Fronefield, 82, of West Hamburg, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2015 in the Phoebe Home, Allentown. He was the husband of Grace Emma (Balthaser) Fronefield.
Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late Vernon Fronefield and Viola (Reiner) Ortlip. Frederick was a 1951 graduate of Muhlenberg High School. He worked as a forklift mechanic for seventeen years for General Battery and Exide. He also worked as a police officer, truck driver, in agriculture, and as a custodian at Bon-Ton. Frederick was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hamburg, where he was a former member of church council. He was a member and former fire fighter for Temple Volunteer Fire Company. Frederick was a collector of toy tractors. He was a member of various tractor clubs, including the Antique Engine, Tractor and Toy Club; the Mason-Dixon Oliver Collectors Club of America (MDOCCA); the Keystone Oliver Collectors Club of America; the Hart-parr Oliver Club (international); and the Pocono Old-Tyme Farm Equipment Association.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons: Herman F., husband of Debra (Blunt) Fronefield, in Florida; Alfred M., husband of Patricia (Holbrooks) Fronefield, Ft. Meade, Maryland; and Ralph E. Fronefield, West Hamburg; one daughter: Belinda G. (Fronefield), wife of John Pitcher, Yuma, Arizona; six grandchildren: Katrina Jenness, Marcie Fronefield, Christopher, Clayton and Desiree Pitcher, and Tiffany Bunn; and three great-grandchildren: Collen Jenness, and Logan and Lindsay Bunn.
Services will be held on Monday at 10:30 am from St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, 99 Church Street, Hamburg, PA 19526. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Twp. A viewing will be held in the church Monday 9:30 to 10:30 am. Memorial contributions may be sent to the St. John's Ev.
