Elizabeth M. Brown, "Libby", 81, of Shoemakersville, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2015 in her residence. She was the wife of Kerry D. "Brownie" Brown. They were married on October 28, 1972 and celebrated forty-two years of marriage.
Born in Shoemakersville, she was the daughter of the late Moses W. and Mary F. (Epler) Miller. Libby was a 1951 graduate and Valedictorian of her Perry High School Class. She worked as a medical secretary for Dr. Herbert Johnson of the Johnson Raye Clinic, West Reading, until her retirement. Libby was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Shoemakersville Fire Company. She enjoyed playing bingo, crossword puzzles, cross stitch, her cats, and cooking and baking.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a son: William E. Kramer, Jr., Hamburg; daughter: Melissa Jo Brown, and partner Laura C. Watts, Los Angeles, California; two granddaughters: Aimee E. (Kramer), wife of Michael D. Brown; and Jennifer M. Kramer; and one sister: Arlene M. Miller, Shoemakersville.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport, PA 19533. Burial will follow in St. Luke's Cemetery, Perry Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Tuesday 9:30 to 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Luke's Church, Fifth and Franklin Streets, Shoemakersville, PA 19555.
