Obituary for Shirley A. Renken (Eash)

Shirley A.E. Renken, 78, of Tilden Twp., passed away on Monday, July 6, 2015 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp., Lehigh Co. She was the wife of Rev. Charles Renken, Jr., who died on March 1, 2014.
Born in Johnstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence S. and Ethel B. (Trexel) Eash. Shirley was a graduate of Upper Darby High School and received her Bachelor's Degree from Columbia International University, Columbia, South Carolina. She was a member of Grace Bible Church of Hawk Mountain, Orwigsburg. Shirley and her husband were missionaries for twenty years with TEAM, The Evangelical Alliance Mission. They served in Venezuela teaching, church planting and parenting. Shirley enjoyed gardening, wind chimes, nature and peaceful moments. Her life was dedicated to serving her Savior. Shirley is now in the presence of her Savior and her husband Charles and has completed her life's goal.
Shirley is survived by a son: C. Gregory Renken, and his wife Sandra, Orwigsburg; two daughters: Shellyn Renken Snowden, Baltimore, MD; and Teresa J. (Renken) Wall, wife of Sidney Wall, Laurel, MD; six grandchildren: Charles Renken, Alexandra Renken, Benjamin Ganger, Samuel Ganger, and his wife Amanda, Cathryn Ganger, and Brendon Renken; and one great-grandson: Kaedin Oliver Ganger. She is also survived by three brothers: Robert Eash, Rock Hall, MD; Harold Eash, Puyallup, Washington; and Donald Eash, Albrightsville, PA; and one sister: Helen (Eash) Case, Silver Spring, MD.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am from Grace Bible Church of Hawk Mountain, 12 Molino Road, Orwigsburg, PA 17961. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be sent to the church at the above address in memory of Shirley. Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg is in charge of arrangements.
