Obituary for Pearl E. Miller (Delp)

Pearl E. Miller, 90, formerly of Mohrsville, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015 in ManorCare, Sinking Spring where she resided since April. She previously resided at Country Meadows, Wyomissing, for five years. Pearl was the wife of Howard W. Miller, who died December 22, 1990.
Born in Alsace Twp., she was the daughter of the late Walter R. and Una Rebecca (Kline) Delp. Pearl worked on the family dairy farm with her husband Howard. She was a member of Salem (Belleman's) Church, Centre Twp.; and its Women's Guild, where she served as a long-time treasurer. Pearl was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Central Berks Fire Company, Centerport. She was a exceptional seamstress and made many bridesmaids gowns and did other sewing for people in the neighborhood. Pearl also enjoyed gardening and cooking family meals.
Pearl is survived by a son: Larry D. Miller, and his wife Patricia, Mohrsville; a daughter: Lorene A. (Miller), wife of Scott Szoke, Wyomissing; five grandchildren: Rodney Miller; Sherri DiMarcello; Brandon Miller; Jenna Szoke; and Rachel Texter; and four great-grandchildren: Anna and Elena DiMarcello; Andrea Miller; Ryan Texter. She is also survived by three brothers: Lester, Norman, and Russell Delp; and two sisters: Pauline DeLong and June Ellis. Pearl was predeceased by a son: Dennis H. Miller, who died in 2010.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Fairview (Belleman's) Cemetery, Centre Twp.
