Obituary for William P. Forte Sr.

William P.  Forte Sr.
William P. Forte, Sr., 62, of Tilden Twp., and formerly of Philadelphia, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015 in Temple University Hospital. He was the husband of Carolyn P. (Oleski) Forte. They were married on June 1, 1974 and would have celebrated forty-one years of marriage.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Albert and Helen (Morton) Forte. William worked for twenty-five years for Qualex, Allentown, as a photo finisher. For eleven years, he also worked for Forte Construction with his son Christopher. William enjoyed the time he spent with his family. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and being outdoors.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: William P. Forte, Jr., and his wife Amy, Schnecksville; and Christopher M. Forte, and his wife Aimee, Tilden Twp.; one daughter: April L. (Forte), wife of Joseph Wilson, Bernville; and eight grandchildren: Violet, Billy, Nicholas, Hannah, Joey, Isabella, Gabriella, and Christopher. William is also survived by two brothers: Joseph J. Forte, and his wife Anna Marie, Philadelphia; and Albert Forte, and his wife Terri Ann, Havelock, North Carolina; and several nieces, nephews and friends. He will be missed by his dogs, Harley and Hunter.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00 am from St. Mary R.C. Church, 94 Walnut Road, Hamburg. A visitation with the family will be held at the church Saturday 10:00 to 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Humane Society of Berks County, 1801 N. 11th Street, Reading, PA 19604.
