Obituary for William A. Bubbenmoyer

William A. Bubbenmoyer, 94. of Hamburg, died Thursday, June 15, 2017 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. He was the husband of Anna M. (Keim) Bubbenmoyer. They were married December 11, 1954 and celebrated 62 years of marriage.
Born in Tilden Twp., he was a son of the late Mahlon and Bertha (Stein) Bubbenmoyer. He was a member of St. Luke's Church, Shoemakersville. Bill worked as a molder at Fairmount Foundry for 40 years before his retirement in 1985. He was a life member of Keystone State Fire Chiefs Association, Union Fire Co. No. 1 of Hamburg, and Shoemakersville Fire Company. He was a former Assistant Chief for Shoemakersville Fire Company.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Dennis W. Bubbenmoyer, Shoemakersville, and Bryan L. Bubbenmoyer, Hamburg; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by three brothers: Carl, Wayne, and Harold Bubbenmoyer; and one sister: Elsie (Bubbenmoyer) Fox. He was predeceased by a son: Paul W. Bubbenmoyer; a daughter: Louise A. Bubbenmoyer; a brother: Charles Bubbenmoyer; and two sisters: Annie (Bubbenmoyer) Fidler and Dorothy (Bubbenmoyer) Mengel.
Services will be held Monday, June 19, 2017 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street Hamburg, PA 19526 (off street parking in rear).
