Obituary for James L. Seltzer

James L. Seltzer, 70, of Riverview Park, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 in Penn State Health St. Joseph. He was the husband of Carol A. (Reppert) Seltzer. They were married on March 1, 1969 and celebrated forty-seven years of marriage.
Born in Auburn, he was the son of the late John and Mildred (Sterner) Seltzer. James was a graduate of Blue Mountain High School. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. James worked for Dana Corporation, and currently worked part-time for United Document Destruction and Storage, Muhlenberg Twp. He was a member of Riverview Christian Ministries. James loved working in his garden and tending to his rose bushes. He was a hard worker and always helping the neighbors. James was a very faithful blood donor.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Jeffrey J. Seltzer and Jerald J. Seltzer, both of Mt. Joy; five brothers: his twin John, Jr.; Floyd, Sr.; David, Daniel, and Philip; and seven sisters: Mildren, Ruth, Pearl, Alberta, Edith, Martha, and Debra. James was predeceased by a sister: Mabel.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am from Riverview Christian Ministries, 3301 Stoudt's Ferry Bridge Road, Reading. A visitation with the family will begin at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Miller-Keystone Blood Center, 1465 Valley Center Parkway, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
