Obituary for David D. Saul

David D. Saul, 67, of Shoemakersville, passed away in his residence on Sunday, October 9, 2016. He was the husband of Rose Ann (Yoder) Saul. They were married on November 18, 1967.
Born in West Reading, he was the son of Donald P. and Mary Lou B. (Becker) Saul, Shoemakersville. David was a 1966 graduate of Hamburg Area High School. He worked for Carpenter Technology, Reading. David was a member of St. Luke's Church, Shoemakersville. He was a member of many local gun clubs and the ATA Trap Shooting Association. David was an avid outdoorsman. He was a volunteer firefighter and Assistant Fire Chief of the Shoemakersville Fire Company.
Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are two sons: Justin M. Saul, husband of Jessica L. (Conway) Saul, Shoemakersville; and Christopher R. Saul, husband of Ryann D. (Watkins) Saul, Edwardsville, Illinois; and four grandchildren: Nicholas C. Saul, Morgan E. Ohnmacht, Madison T. Saul and Lexington O. Saul. David is also survived by two brothers: Bruce R. Saul, Shoemakersville; Craig W. Saul, husband of Beverly A. (Wessner) Saul, Shoemakersville; one sister: Kathy A. (Saul) Loeb, wife of Glenn A. Loeb, Reading; mother-in-law: C. Viola (Henne) Yoder; and brother-in-law: Rodney Yoder.
Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will follow in St. Luke's Cemetery, Perry Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Thursday 10:00 to 11:00 am.
